Systir in Session Singing Music from Game of Thrones
Last weekend we were lucky enough to spend time in The Kicking Donkey & George’s Bar in Bundoran singing a few of the fine songs from Game of Thrones . The beautiful “Jenny of Oldstones” has a solo sung by Lorna and “The Rains of Castamere” is probably the best known of the songs from the series.

We have been keeping it very quiet, but we are thrilled to announce that we will be singing at the wonderful Game of Thrones Studio in Northern Ireland this coming Saturday, all day.

Five of Systir feature on the new ANÚNA video, “Ever Come to an End”
Sara Weeda, Lauren, Aisling, Caitríona and Lorna all feature on the stunning new ANÚNA video for the song “Ever Come to an End” which was composed by the Japanese video game legend Yasunori Mitsuda. The lead vocal features Lauren and we are so excited to be a part of the amazing new ANÚNA album Otherworld".
Systir Live at the Tivoli, Utrecht
We captured a few videos of our concert in Cloud9, at the Tivoli Vredenburg in Utrecht. It gives a flavour of the sonic purity of the group, and we get a chance to sing two beautiful folksongs, “Once I Had as Sweetheart” featuring Lauren and Aisling on solos, and “The Skye Boat Song” featuring Caitríona on lead vocal.
Systir Ensemble: Open Audition for Vocalist Position
Systir is currently accepting applications for a new singer based in Ireland. We invite candidates who meet the following criteria to apply:
Applicants must have some experience working in a classical context, whether as a member of a choir or as a trained solo singer. Note that there is a large repertoire so sight-reading of some level is pretty much essential
Applicants should be stylistically versatile: experience in choral, folk and classical genres is an advantage. Systir is not limited to these styles.
Instrumental Capability: proficiency in a portable musical instrument could be an advantage.
Team Collaboration: Candidates are expected to contribute to additional ensemble responsibilities, including but not limited to social media promotion, sound and lighting management, and public relations.

Lauren sings the Title Song on the new Bayonetta Game Released March 17th
Systir singer Lauren McGlynn features as the soloist on the theme song of the Nintendo Switch game Bayonetta Origins - Cereza and the Lost Demon released on March 17th. The text was written by Michael McGlynn and the composer of the song Hitomi Kurokawa has given an in-depth interview about the making of this amazing recording - read it HERE in English or HERE in Japanese.

New vid just released - this is “Once I had a Sweetheart”. Single due on MARCH 24th!
We had a blast recording this is the cozy Soundscape Studios last week! Yeah, it was recorded, videoed and Mastered all in a few days thanks to Brain Masterson who is a living legend and Michael McGlynn who did all the camera and sound editing too.The arrangement is by Aisling and Michael, and is dedicated to the queen of folk herself Jacqui McShee, who was a huge influence on Lauren who chose the song.
